Hinterzarten-Summer 2008

by Dave Jarrett 7/26/2008 5:43:00 PM

Quick update from Hinterzarten. Bill finished second today after it started pouring rain 30 minutes before the start of the race. It was a good course when it was dry but in the rain it was brought everyone together. Bill did a great job managing the race and it ended with a sprint finish for the podium. Johnny jumped ok, 22nd after jumping but had the wheels for dry pavement and couldn't push at all. Alex Glueck also jumped ok but had the same problem with the wheels. Eric Camerota jumped well yesterday in training but didn't do it in the competition today and since he didn't make the top 40 after jumping he couldn't start the race.

Overall we are here to see the level of jumping and after the last few days we know where we are in relation to the rest of the NC world. We don't put too much stock into inline racing as we only do it for this week each summer. We have another competition in Obertsdorf, GER on Tuesday night and the final one for the week on Friday night in Einsiedeln, SUI.

Thanks for all the help and support.
